Artist Bio

Christina Shivcharan

Having grown up surrounded by vintage metalsmithing equipment, analogue machines (rotary telephone, AM/FM radio, pedal sewing machine), and nature, I'm grateful to have this opportunity to explore analogue photography with its film, vintage cameras, and darkroom development process while rediscovering the natural world.

I'm sharing my creations and experiences, on my 8x10 Dot Photography website, for those that with a similar affection for and appreciation of these timeless tools.

Currently, I incorporate film-based images with illustrations and complementary materials like metal, yarn, fabric, paint, etc. to create one-of-a-kind prints; I hope you find them as intriguing as I do and they will bring great value to you in years to come.
